Scheduling Pastoral Guidance

Procedures required to have services performed (this includes any policies)

  1. Contact the church Administrative Assistant (Deacon Robinson) to set-up an appointment with the Pastor.
  2. Be prepared to give full disclosure concerning your problem.
  3. Be willing to respect and accept the Bible as the Word of God.


Q: Why is spiritual guidance needed?

A: The bible states in Proverbs 11:14, "where there is no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety (KJV).  It is plain to see that God urges us to always seek the advice of other competent saints when facing life's problems.

The bible also states that, "without counsel purposes are disappointed; but in multitude of counselors they establishe (Proverbs 15:22)

Q: Who does the Bible task to give this couseling or guidance?

A: See the following scriptures for the answer: Ephesians 4:11-12: Acts 20:28; I Peter 5:2.

The Lord has appointed leaders in teh church to minister to his people.  Therefore, the scripture warns all believers not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is; (Hebrews 10:25)
